An American's plea to the world

WHAT DOES THE WORLD NOT UNDERSTAND ABOUT THIS? If no one has noticed, let me say it: borders are generally meaningless with the massive amounts of communications going on through basic daily correspondence, online gaming, and various other activities that have brought the world together. If the USA is spying on its citizens, IT IS SPYING ON THE ENTIRE WORLD. EU, Africa, CHINA, INDIA, and even the Aussies. None of you are safe from BIG BROTHER'S(re: The US Government's) all seeing eye unless THE ENTIRE PLANET HELPS THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY STOP THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT FROM SPYING. The world knows this is not right, even obscene in some cases, but our own government does not. Since they obviously do not listen to the citizens of their own country, WILL THE REST OF THE WORLD HELP US OUT A BIT? Maybe sanctions? Anything?

I posted this comment to an article in the Huffington post about the EU getting their panties in a bunch over the USA spying on them.  Strange how the world so soon forgets what happens to a country that believes its ego over reality.  It happened to Britain("The Sun never sets on the British Empire"), Germany(The Third Reich), all the way back to Pax Romana.  Except none of them had the planet's communication grid in such a tight grip.  The United States presents an unprecedented threat to the entire planet, at least those countries that refuse to bend to the will of the United Soviet States of America.  "The Greatest Country in the World."

And before you idiots say, "Well, hm-hm, we aint no soviets.  We don't live in Russia," soviet is Russian for council, and this country is without a doubt ruled by its councils- namely the Senate and the House- and our country is no less hell bent on a form of world domination than the former USSR, decimated Nazi Germany or the decaying British Empire.  In our country, "politically correct" is code for newspeak.  "NSA" is code for Big Brother.  
So, remember this, the indoctrination that millions of children in the USA are forced to say every morning: pledge of allegience.  Children are being brainwashed into believing that being watched, tracked, and corralled by the government is freedom.  They are being brainwashed that a fairy-tale being called "god" is watching over our nation.  They are being forced to believe that what is happening to our people is just.  To the rest of the world, THIS IS WHAT FUTURE PRESIDENTS, OBAMA, BUSH, CLINTON, the other BUSH, (well, you get the drift) HAVE PLANNED FOR YOU UNLESS YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.  Our populace has entered that area of historical significance where our opinion no longer matters, indeed, is no longer allowed unless it is in line with what the government has decreed is correct and true.  Help us.  You all know what's coming.  If you don't, read 1984, by George Orwell.

My Point of View: Women

  So, what is going on with women today?  What about you TG women?  TG women are actually safer, as  many women still see you as men, though are too two-faced and shallow to admit it.  The equality of women in the USA is being eroded in such a profound manner I even find it sickening.  In many states, you don’t even have say over what you can do with your body.  Okay, yeah, sure, this mainly has to do with abortion or contraception, so relatively few women are truly effected, meh-meh-mehhh. 
  For you ladies who espouse this point of view, as you sit in the pews Sunday morning or Wednesday night, open up to 1Corinthians or 1Timothy, check it out, then shut up like a good wife.  Or, better yet, read some Genesis.  Yeahhh!!!  The Beginning!!!  The foundation of your entire belief system!  Howsabout Lot and the two angels?  Ask your husband or your preacher to explain why allowing the town to rape your two daughters is preferable to allowing them to take advantage of two incredibly mighty, supernaturally gifted strangers who have the power to scrape the two largest cities in the world off of the planet?  Oh, yeah, so Lot could save his own ass.  Get ready for a stunned moment of silence, followed by a stutter, then a well rehearsed message, that is, once you think about it, an avalanche of bullshit.  Tell me, would you let a man rape your daughter in order to save the asshole of some guy you don’t even know?  What if he was the President?  

  The rest of you women, pay any attention to politics lately?  Do you realize you are supporting people who believe “People don’t die from cancer anymore”(http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/03/chris-collins-cancer_n_1647196.html) to create or approve legislation that dictates the level of healthcare you are allowed to receive? (Remember that word, “allow.”  Say it once or twice, get a feel for it.  It will come in handy when the Church-run GOP takes over the government.)  Do you also realize that you are supporting  people and agreeing to let them have control over a child growing in your womb, people who believe that having a disembodied voice tell them to take their child into the middle of the desert, kill said child, and burn the remains is an acceptable trait in a leader?  

  I sort of blame myself.  Well, my gender, more specifically.  At the risk of exposing myself for what I am, (that is, a terrible person) I love what women have done with the whole “sexual revolution”, and the second-rate kind of equality that men of the fifties, sixties, and seventies gave them.  Predictably, they used those freedoms to… act in a similar fashion to men: they party, drink, and do all the nifty stuff unscrupulous males did, while chauvinists like me bask in the heat of your… freedoms.  And every time a feminist takes charge of women everywhere, and manages to get a crow-bar into the door-jamb of true equality, a Kim K. or Paris H. runs her over with a Bentley. 
  Unfortunately, men do control the world, or it seems that way since every time someone points out how women aren’t getting a fair shake, women in the ‘States seem not to give a damn.  You don’t even stand up for yourselves anymore.  Women have been shoehorned into this image thing by us, and you love it?  Have you become so jaded by how much worse women in the majority of the rest of the world have it that you are willing to let douche bags like me (albeit, tall, dark, and handsome douche bags), limit and control who you can be?
  I think it’s because at least sixty percent of women in the good ole US of A buy into male superiority, if not by thought, than by deed.  They walk through those church/mosque/temple doors every week.  For five thousand years, men have been using  religion to hold you down, keeping you firmly in the place of a second-class citizen, no matter how you perceive yourself or your lot in life, and you still voluntarily give us that power.  
 Fifty years ago, we men allowed you to taste true freedom.  We allowed you to have true equality.  We are allowing you to hold positions in parliament and congress today.  And yet, speaking in business terms, you are still only worth 75% of what a man is.  “Hello, McFly” comes to mind.
  I guess that’s why I am an atheist, as well as a transhumanist.  As an atheist, I don’t have some all-powerful male super-hero that protects me from evil things like equality and a woman on top.  As a transhumanist, I am not interested in restoring equality to everyone as much as I am trying to destroy this concept that inequality is normal, and everyone is unequal to a male WASP.  
 This whole superiority thing men, especially white men, hold in their hearts is eminently dangerous to our advancement as a society.  We are so focused on our imagined superiority as a gender, we are forgetting our superiority as a species.  Yet, to be superior as a species, we need to act as a cohesive unit.
 Women, you need to wake the fuck up.  I am only one man, am not a feminist by any means, and considering the track record of guys in regard to how women are perceived, do you really want us fighting for you?

  So, I have been reading stuff that is rather harsh to the GOP, of which I am a registered member.  Unfortunately I do agree with a lot of it, though much of it is as far out there as anything the target can come up with.  I personally believe that the future of technological advancement is in trouble so long as the rather fanatical christian fervor of the party continues.  I do not see it stopping any time soon.  

  So, with this criticism of my own political affiliation, I implore more logical minds to once again make a stand within the party.  Take control once again.  If not, let's make another political party, one not left, not right, not libertarian.  One Logical.  One that looks to the future, not only of itself, but of the people of the good ole USA.

TFProleteriat's Point of View- Human

  Okay.  For this post at least, I will use Wikipedia definitions until I can update them with RL dictionary and encyclopedia references.  I apologize, it's a cop-out I usually do not do, unless I feel lazy, or in this case, do not currently have access to my reference books, since they are packed in a box currently.
  Has anyone taken a look at society lately?  Noticed how fractured it is?  I am quickly realizing that the growing division in humanity is an underlying reason why I buy into Transhumanism,(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transhumanism) though I don't buy into the posthuman bit, I think our sense of individuality is too strong for that.  Also, strong language, strong opinions, and unfairness will abound following this sentence.  That being said, tell me what you think.
  This is a post I should have done first, I realize, but this blog is so all over the place, first a political thing, then tech and transhumanism oriented, now it is some bastard-child hybrid of the two.  It has evolved, as have my opinions, since I started seeing the world for what it is and not through the rose colored glasses of the far left or far right.  Inertia, friction, and gravity have conspired to bring me to the lowest point in the arc of my opinions and keep me there.  Know what?  For the first time since I left the church, I feel content.  My opinions are now based more on being part of humanity that being human.
   Being part of humanity, I have come to a stark realization.  We desperately hold onto personal descriptors that really mean nothing.  We are constantly being forced to believe they do, as though they have a supernatural power to protect us from the bogeyman.  Is there a difference between being proud of whom you are as opposed to what you are?  What you are is simple: human.  Nothing more, though many would have you believe you are much less.
 What seems to be one of the goals of the transhumanist philosophy, what I gather from it, is to mitigate the power of those descriptors.  Race, gender, physical appearance, age, what are they?  When it comes down to it, they literally are nothing more than a fluke of timing.  One more stoplight, one more beer, even something as trivial as a bad grade on your older sibling’s report card and you might not be here.  It doesn't take much to disrupt the events leading to fifteen minutes of sweating and groaning followed by someone shuddering in orgasm.  And yet, we allow skin color, hair color, sexual organs or our time on earth to trivialize our existence.
  Guess how trivial your existence is (without further demeaning yourself with a useless descriptor)?  You are unique, and interesting, just like the six and a half billion other people on mother earth.  Feel better?  And yet we allow ourselves to be cut off from that number by these stupid categories, which, instead of defining us and distinguishing us, demoralize and weaken us.
  Race, gender, physical appearance, and age.  These four categories have been the foundation of all discrimination,  intolerance, repression and oppression since man began singing history (history has its root in the Greek “histor” meaning inquiry, knowledge from inquiry, or judge, not “his story” as some theists and a few other “ists” would have you mistakenly believe).  Just read any religious or historical text or any myth.
  Now, I am not saying that most of us have control over how these characteristic affect our lives.  I realize that the majority of cultures are still scrabbling their way out of a pit created by perceptions that stem from the dark ages.  This part of my opinion is geared, somewhat selfishly, toward my particular culture, United States American, and somewhat to the entirety of  modern western civilization, both seeming desperate to find a shovel they will use to dig a new pit, since the dark ages were so… comforting.

  Think of it like this:  What if you were able to look as old or as young as you wanted?  Wanted to be a tanned bronzed beach goddess today, or a dashing  black-skinned prince this evening?  What if you were to be that "light through yon window breaks" or standing with a sword in hand in the winter of our discontent?  What would the world be like if we put on appearances like we put on clothes?  How liberating would it be if you were defined by how adroit your mind is instead of how tall you are?  Through transhumanism, all these and more are possible.
   I will also be continuing this into two or three other posts. One will focus on women in the modern environment and the emerging environment of the future, and one will be about all those cry babies whining because they are being oppressed for their religion and the lack of a place in the future for religion.

The Overall Peacefull Transhumanist Policy

Transhumanism is the belief that we, homo sapien, have hit something of an evolutionary dead end, and we should now direct our evolution on our own.  Many in the world, mostly fanatically religious types, oppose this point of view, while others, mainly the uncaring "mainstream" American individual, simply ignore it.  Transhumanism seeks to spread it's themes through peaceful discourse and seminars, using the opposite methods of the very institutions that oppose us.  As we seek to rise above the current human condition, Self-evolutionists are using the most advanced, innocuous means to spread our message.
Now, evolution is a process of natural selection where organisms adapt to their environment and the influences contained therein.  The organism develops a physical means to overcome obstacles in their environment, including outwitting predators and prey.   We have overcome every predator on our planet, save disease, and turned anything alive into potential prey.  Nothing on our planet provides sufficient problems to necessitate biological change.  Our greatest adaptation, the sapient human brain, is currently our downfall, as it allows us to think a way around the problems we do have, negating the need for further "natural" advancement.
No matter how logical evolution is, mainstream Christianity sticks by the mantra, "If we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?"  The real tough part to understand is, if Christians don't believe in evolution, why do they think taking evolution in our own hands, especially in the case of genetic research, is "playing God?"
Since, according to Christians, evolution is not real, transhumanists have actually invented evolution.  Evolution is simply a tool for us to use.
I am reminded of something God said in the Bible:  "Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language... and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do..."(gen 11:6)  Followed by the new testament, where God changed the rules, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:  whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."(Matt 16:19)  These statements show, unequivocally, that God gave us the ability to advance, AND also the permission.  The Binary language is now used by every person of every ethnicity of every language who has access to a computer.  One language for all peoples, except this time, we have the permission to use it for our own prosperity.  However, mainstream Christians will completely ignore this, as they ignore the rest of the book that they supposedly hold as Holy.
For the time being, our seminars and examples can and should be peaceful.  That way, those who will listen and weigh things out in a logical manner will have that chance.  When talking to Christians, I remind them of the tenets of Jesus Christ.  This embarrasses many, since they tend to be blatant hypocrites, but it opens their ears.  Then, I put forth the idea that when the Spirit of God came upon Mary, in Luke(1:35), God quickened a child in her womb, changing the genetic makeup of the fetus in a way that allowed God to be with him at all times.  I call Jesus the first transhuman.  That really sets their head spinning.
However, one must not ignore the fact that peaceful demonstration and discussion have rarely, if ever, furthered a cause beyond an honorable mention in the history books.  Just as outright violence tends to doom a following to a premature death, so does a purely peaceful method.  Only the correct application of force and persuasion can create a perfect environment for a movement to survive.  Persuasion plants the seed, violence waters the soil.  Just ask Democracy, Human Rights, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and any Industrialized or Developing country.  They spread the idea, protected it as fiercely as needed, and, in the end, achieved what their detractors could not.  Victory, even if it was only temporary.

You self styled "Freedom Watchers", small government, and equality-for-all people are the same bigots that cry for the government to invade our lives even more.

The only reason that we don't live in a true police state now is the fact that our "elected" leaders don't have the balls to tell you. In the American state of Florida, the entire state's policing agencies fall under an all encompassing agency called the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Their mission statement is pretty straight forward: To promote public safety and strengthen domestic security by providing services in partnership with local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies to prevent, investigate, and solve crimes while protecting Florida’s citizens and visitors.

A Federally funded program based in Florida, and run by FDLE, is trying to link public records and private databases into the “Multistate Anti-Terrorist Information Exchange.” Find it at www.matrix-at.org. It's primary function is to collect information on anyone that may have a reason for feeling angry at the country. Its secondary function is to create connections from every convicted felon in the U.S. down to everyone they've been involved with throughout their life, Including all US citizens that have been convicted of ANY crime, served in the armed forces since Nam, or has any family living in any part of the world that has a populace with a grudge against the US. It has a data-mining bug as its basis, and is being challenged by the ACLU for constitutionality. It doesn't matter, though. No-one even knows that it exists. The information they collect is very in-depth, delving into the most private aspects of one's life. It was created by the PATRIOT Act, and has fallen under the radar.

We already are living in a police state. We better get used to it. If Sci-Fi is the future, why don't we just act like we're living in Sci-Fi?
